The Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA) introduces Timplada, an immersive event celebrating the art of Ilonggo cuisine. Through an on-site and virtual art exhibition, educational livestreams, and an official Iloilo City Food Map, Timplada merges food, art, and culture to showcase traditional regional dishes and inspire conscious representation in art.

Rooted in Ilonggo’s practicality and resourcefulness, their renowned regional dishes are a product of abundant local ingredients and mild flavors, embodying familiar tastes and cherished family recipes. Timplada captures these nostalgic food experiences, paying homage to the culinary heritage of Ilonggos.

To reach a wider audience, Timplada presents Merienda Talks, an educational livestream series exploring the beauty of Ilonggo arts and culinary arts. Premiering on ILOMOCA’s Facebook page every Saturday at 3 PM, these livestreams delve into various topics until December.

Furthermore, Timplada will unveil an official Iloilo City Food Map, illustrated by Jimhuel of Dampi Art. This comprehensive brochure showcases the significant dishes, landmarks, festivals, must-eats, fun facts, and common Hiligaynon expressions, serving as a valuable informational guide to Iloilo City’s history and gastronomy.
